The old tachometer is styled, the chrome ring and white RPM pointer just details that we do not see anymore in our cars of today. The ruby is perfect, the range allowing speed without hurting the engine (although I would never exceed 5400 RPM and keep it out of the ruby zone - I drive slowly :)
Very nice composition, visually interesting and very well balanced.
